Field Report.

About

If you've found this website, then you've found my own personal wiki and record of a fictional baseball universe I've created whilst playing W. M. Akers' Deadball, a tabletop baseball simulation game.

The world of Field Report begins in 1892 in Stanley Park, Liverpool. At the Great Festival of Base Ball, a celebration of the game arranged by the Imperial Base Ball Association following Albert Spalding's wildly successful 1888 World Tour, the nation is gripped and fascinated by the new sport.

New teams form quickly, and an irregular series of summer exhibitions are arranged at both club and county level. Two years after the festival, in 1894, the Capital League emerges, comprised of eight amateur teams from London.
